I discovered I had inherited my father's green thumb only a few years ago. I guess after he left this earth, he decided to pass it along to me. I went WILD. My friend grew unusual annuals and I was able to try them for very low cost and planted like a mad woman. I even saved nearly-dead coleus, as well as other plants that needed to be nursed. I was hooked. My favorites are Strobilanthes and Castor Beans, which I plant every year. I always manage to spend quality time on my gardens, even though with my full time job, riding my motorcycle and traveling when I can, my time is limited. I was once featured in a newspaper article, pictured on my Harley with my gardens in the background (described as an avid gardener). I think I'm going to enjoy this forum. :)
