I really like edibles, herbs, fruits, and brightly colored foliage that will last a while. I'm financially strapped, so I feel obliged to spend any efforts or cash on perennials or something that I can use to limit my grocery bill. Also, I love the look of different types of plants near each other, the variations in texture.
