I love to hear the "ping" of the jars. It feels me with more satisfaction than anything else I make. I started foraging and canning lambs-quarter and wild plums,around age 6 as well as helping with the gardens. 50 years later...my granddaughter is 8 and she is learning how to pick berries to put up, process and make enough plum butter for my family and YOURS! I can all I can...bake all my breads and still love to "forage" for what is free to pick and put up.
