My garden is mostly in the shade. Soil is brick-like clay. I continue to add compost, etc. Progress is slow. As a result of trying to find plants and shrubs that will thrive, my garden is a hodgepodge rather than a well designed plan. Nevertheless I enjoy every minute I can be outside!
