I moved to the south of France in spring of 2002 and have become infected with the French passion for filling balconies with containers of flowers. In fact, my balcony looks a bit like the photo on the Balcony Forum page--same colour shutters, same colour house and the same type of wrought iron balcony railing! Up until this point my only experience has been with houseplants.

I now have pelargonium, plumbago, ficoides, lobelia, kalanchoe, basil and miniature roses, plus some mixed seeds I bought that are finally starting to grow. I have full sun with the exception of the early morning hours and I have to be careful about what I choose to plant.
