Returned to the NW last summer, to where gardening is oh, so easy, BUT I forgot that it is also easy livin' for the weeds! And I now have lots of space in which to garden! Really looking forward to that!!

I'm a long-time vegetable gardener and have some of the best traveled irises on the planet (no iris borer, though!!). Perhaps one of the strangest, useful things I ever did was to plant morning glories in window boxes on second-storey windows that faced west. It gave me shade/filtered sun in the summer and I still had my full sun in the winter.
