I'm more than happily married, have a dog and a cat, and love to cook, garden, and used to be wildly passionate about fly fishing. Lacking any formal training, I have no problem saying I know my way around a kitchen very well. I'm also a long-time serious amateur photographer, and now, of course, photograph our garden more than anything else. This year, butterflies have caught my imagination.

I've been visiting GW's Gardening Forums for a long time and find them both very useful and very perplexing at times - some forums are very welcoming, while others seem to be like private little clubs. One of my greatest dislikes is horticultural snobbery, and I tend to confront it wherever it occurs. Lastly, I am a PSU Certified Master Gardener.
