I live in Winterville, GA with my husband and 6 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 pet goats. All the critters make gardening a bit of a challenge. We have a large property - 3 acres so it is not too difficult to keep the animals out of the garden. Animals are my first love, but gardening is a very close second. I also enjoy fiber arts (wool and angora goat hair prep, spinning, and knitting)and running.

In my garden I prefer plants that do not need coddling so I try to stick with things that will do well in our given conditions. Fortunately, I have had great success with many perennials and shrubs. I am also trying to incorporate hard scape as much as possibel. Fortunately, I have ready access to free granite and I have constructed numerous gardenpaths and even a lovely stone potting shed out of granite.
