I've been gardening since I was a kid. The first thing that I ever grew was a gourd plant. It came from a pack of seeds marked small ornamentle gourds. The vine went crazy. Then the blossoms came, but only one fruit matured and grew and grew and grew. It turns out that it was a gourd that loked like and was as big as a baseball bat! I was so amazed by that crazy plant,so I became hooked on gardening. I have a large rock garden on a terrace for my front yard, and some tiny postage stamp gardens.
