Im an American transplanted to Holland to live with my Dutch boyfriend. Ive been here since 2002 and am actually trying to overcome my brown thumbs in this land of green grass and tulips. Mandatory in every household here are the 2,000 houseplants per occupant, which makes life verrrrrry interesting for one such as myself.

Ive tried my hand at growing a few vegetables that arent available here; namely squash and some hot pepper varieties. This is getting interesting, to say the least... new bugs, new water situations, the whole 9 yards.

Wish me luck but Im having a ball learning!
