Hi there,
I came across this page whilst seeking information on Aristea Ecklonii. We have loads growing in this new garden.
Have recently moved into a newly built "complex" and we are
committed to 80% indigenous gardening. You can't believe how the gardens have thrived in the year since being planted, from aloes, succulents, & the flowering shrubs. Such a joy to have birds, bees, butterflies & bugs! We're all so ignorant of the beauty of indigenous flora & always
strive for English country gardens which cannot cope with the heat and drought.

Look forward to sharing information with the members ..

Have a small story ..(taken from a book called "blooming quotes" by Keith Kirsten)
Famous broadcaster & writer Alan Titchmarsh told of the woman who complained that one of her rose bushes was so tall and leggy that she couldn't reach to cut them. She was advised to "give it the occasional prune." Several weeks later she wrote back to Alan, saying, "It's had half a tin of prunes now and it still doesn't seem to be improving"

Blessings from South Africa (KZN being on the east coast near Durban)
