I grow vegies and herbs and flowers, some in the ground and some in containers such as wine barrels cut in half. I've shared a garden with a neighbor which worked out well and also have grown my own. At one time I had greenhouses and my husband and I grew starts for landscapers and just to sell at yard sales, etc. My favorite part of gardening is transplanting, I love to move plants up into larger containers. I'm lucky enough to have good soil and live in northern California where I can grow something year round.
