My house sets on 250 feet of Mississippi River frontage. After 30 years of gardenting,we had a major flood, which created an opportunity for new landscape design. I now have a retaining wall, 40 feet long, with a five foot garden from front to back, half way up. On top of the hill, there is another 40 foot long garden. Last year I had nasturtrums that went from the top all the way to the ground. There are also climbing roses that go from one lower level to climb on the arch for the top level. Very interesting.
There are 13 garden plots around my one acre lot, so big, so tiny, some themed, some chaos. Gardening is always a work in progress.
