My husband and I have settled in Belgium and bought a "farm". It is a mere 2 acres, but fantastic, with a large pond, 1 acre paddock (for future horses, currently homing 2 neighbour cows), a diverse fruit orchard (cherries, plums, pears, walnuts, hazelnuts, and newly planted apples, raspberries, blueberries, and kiwi and rhubarb - looking to put in asparagus).

Started with the neglected dump of a place that was loosely termed a "house", but now it is finally renovated so we have moved in. I love it. We should have done this years ago. Now, we just need to finish the house, get the land back into working order, properly fence the property, repair and/or demolish the 3 delapidated barns, build new ones and a horse stable, and somehow acquire that extra land behind us so I can run horses on it... long term plan, that final one.

Both hubby and I are professionals in the computer/telephony industry (don't hold that against us). We are keen to learn whatever anyone can teach us about pretty much everything. We can give good advice too!
