I have AV trailers and one standard, Windy Day. I also have columneas (my favorites), episcias and chiritas.

My new plant love is begonias; especially the rhizos.

I belong to the Nashville African Violet Club. We meet the first Sunday of every month. The club is growing so perhaps we'll have enough members to have a show some day.

Most of my plants have been purchased from our club's president, online at Pat's Pets or on eBay from Symphonyinbloom, PJsViolets, tandlman, aurikab or kathystrep. My experience with these sellers has been very good.

My husband and I have German Shorthaired Pointers. He hunts them and does field trials and hunting tests. I do obedience and conformation. Since I have a home business (magazine editing), I also have several Shorthair "rugs" in my office! I tell people when one of the dogs insists on petting, it knows I need a break and some stress relief. :-)

I also teach dog obedience classes and do dog behavior consultations. Been doing both for 20+ years.

We have homing pigeons, quail, three horses and several (neutered or spayed!) barn kitties who have decimated the mouse and rat population. They wait by the back door every morning for my husband to go out to the barn and feed them before he feeds the horses.

At night, they wait for their snack on the patio before they go out to the barn to sleep. Spoiled kitties :-)
