My wife and I purchased a fixer-upper home on a 1-acre lot in 2001. We have been spending most of our free time relandscaping the property. We regraded both front and back yards, installed an irrigation system, fenced the property, resodded, redesigned the beds, and have added numerouse plants. We dug up, kept, and replanted 1 or 2 thousand existing plants. We removed numerous (10-15) mature trees in order to regrade. We have also installed a new concrete patio, shed, and gazebo. In short, we have completely redone our yard. All we have left to do is to add plants to the newly-created front yard beds.
