I have a garden of 5000m2 few kms from the Adriatic Coast
(Rimini)on a low hill (195m ab.s.liv.).It is very sunny
from dawn to sunset and I grow mediterranean plants from
all the world which can endure long periods of drought
during the summer and some frost in winter.
The soil is heavy and clay,yet I am able to grow several australian plants.The best results with plants from south-east area.
