I have started and stopped doing bonsai several times(for various reasons), but have become more serious, i.e. compulsive, about the last 7 years or so.
My major interest in bonsai is collecting and growing native trees, esp. conifers from the Midwestern area.
I also have a couple of bald cypress, one collected, one from a workshop.
