I have gardened all of my life. I live in the middle of a housing development but have alittle less than an acre of land. I grow everything from grapes, blueberries, a new northern variety of pecan trees, crab apple trees, pear trees, herbs, sweet potatoes, and rhubarb. I have an orange tree and a key lime tree that spend some time inside and out. They both are very prolific producers. I raise orchids also, but have had to cut back as I lost most of them in a power failure a year ago. I am hoping to trade some orchids to get a nice variety again.

Our neighbors confessed last fall that they visit our yard every day while we are on vacation to look at everything and enjoy the different sitting areas we have set up around the back and side yards. We thought this humorous because it's nothing that's near Better Homes and Gardens stature.

My husband never knows what kick I'll be on next. I've gone from water gardens to (now) herb gardens. I'm looking forward to lively conversations with others and active trading of plants and ideas!
