I'm a new gardener. Just recently married and living in our first home. My mother was an active gardener, both vegetables and flowers, and I guess she passed the desire to me in her genes. As soon as I got my own place I've been fascinated with my gardens. I've started a small herb garden (just cilantro, basil, and mint) and a mid-sized vegetable garden. Many of the seeds I've planted didn't make it past transplanting, but I've got several that did (tomatoes, peppers, watermellons, pumpkins, cucumbers, squash, corn, and one lone strawberry plant.) I've yet to have my first harvest though. I've been learning a lot these past couple months and hope to become much better at this in the future.
