I have always enjoyed gardening and originally I grew orchids and a few bromeliads, but it wasnt until I retired in 1999 that I really became interested in bromeliads and they took over as my main hobby. Joining a local Bromeliad Society really opened up the variety of bromeliads available and I have now graduated to my present interest of growing them from seed.
