I'm fairly new to the mid Atlantic area gardening, and have recently added a vacation retreat in NC with a lot of garden potential. My main passion is gardening, mostly ornamental, but I love to see anything grow. I left a beautiful garden in Rhode Island complete with a water garden that my husband and I built from scratch. Seems the main challenges in MD and NC are the SOIL; oh, the clay. It's back breaking. I look forward to learning from all of the people on this forum.
