My gardening interests include citrus, cacti, peppers, palms, and tropical fruits. I have different zones on my lot and plants with similar water use are lumped together. About 1/2 is desert/xeriscape.

I really have grown interested in Burseras/Pachycormus Discolor (Elephant Trees) and have a collection in my yard along with my cacti/succulent collection (mostly plants from Arizona/Sonora/Baja, other areas of Mexico). I enjoy my ultra-desert look.

I have planted Foxtail palms (Wodyetia Birfurcata, Dypsis Decipiens, and Cuban Royal Palms (Roystonea Regia), etc by my pool.

Tropical fruits include Mangos, Lemon Gold White Sapote, Ruby X Guava, Passionfruit, various Bananas, Pineapples, Papaya, and several Avocados.

I grow apples, peaches, nectarines, etc.

I dont mind protecting my tropical plants on occasion.
