Long time container gardener, but just learning about how to grow things in the ground. My husband and I bought our first house last year, and we are happy to at last have some dirt to call our own.
I'm enjoying my first real vegetable garden. It's small, but I had good luck with tomatoes and eggplant this year. I also seem to have a major talent for slug and snail culture - they must have come from miles around just to admire my lettuce.
I'm learning a lot and looking forward to becoming a better gardener. This Web site helps a lot - I learn something new every time I log on, and I really appreciate how willing everyone is to share their hard-won knowledge.
