i live on a tiny but bright northwest-facing corner lot. my backyard is heavily shaded, despite the southwestern exposure. this (2006) is our first spring in this house, and were practically starting the gardens from scratch. oh boy! :) i love gardening, but prefer to keep things simple (which makes me wonder why we just started our first backyard pond!)
