We live in Orange, Connecticut. My DH and I have two boys, 4&6. We bought our house 5 1/2 years ago from the original owners. The house is a 1962 ranch, and it was in it's original condition when we bought it. We are slowly going through the whole thing. We started with the roof, new driveway, new retaining walls, painting, and lanscaping. My DH (with a little help from me) has done most of the work himself. Now we have moved on to the interior. My DH is doing the bathrooms over. We have hired a general contractor to build a great room addition and re-do the kitchen. We will also replace all the trim work and interior doors in the house. We also just put in a gunite pool. I am hoping that by next year our whole family will be enjoying living in our house as opposed to working on it!
