I m an inexperienced gardener whose interest in plants was jump-started three years ago when I realized our property.... just didn t look like everyone else s. I live in lovely suburban-to-rural New Jersey, but my family came here from Brooklyn and for several years there we had no idea what we were doing. Now I m trying to salvage some very neglected, mature plants and will probably be asking for a lot of advice. That said, I have had some success learning which perennials the deer do and don t eat, so I may be able to offer some help there in return. :)
