I will not be doing any gardening this year (2006) due to having to have surgery on both of my feet, so I don't have anything to add to this years personal blurb. I know that I am really going to miss it because I already feel anxious that I can not do any gardening-- for the first time in 5 years. I planted a cover crop of rye for the winter, and will try and get my husband to plant a different cover crop for this summer, and hopefully when I can garden agin next summer, my soil will have lots of organic matter and nutrients in the soil. I have been trying to change this hard red Georgia clay for years and just can't seem to make enough compost for it, so I think the way to go for me will be cover crops. Talk to everyone next year.
