I love being outdoors in my yard. I love working with the soil and plants. My favorite plants are Nikko Blue Hydrangea, Heavenly Blue Morning Glory, and red impatients.
I have been tinkering in the garden the last 4 yrs more and more. My girls are now at the age of really wanting and helping with a summer garden. Flowers and edible veggies, fruits. I have only basic knowledge of gardening. I am finding the old saying, "a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.", to be true. Our best intentions of gardening often flop. It seems the kids and their mom need some help. So, I joined GardenWeb. I started out looking for info on planting my daugters Quinalt Strawberries. Hoping to do it right and have at least one success! It is hard to divide my time between 7,9, & 11yr old girls, gardening, and time left to read thru so much internet info. Anybody with suggestions...? I'd love the help.
I grew up in San Diego. Living in Gloucester, VA for the past 4 yrs has a challenge. Perrenial and annuals!?! Wow!
