I live in central Kansas and we are in the process of purchasing an orchard on l2 acres. Very excited and too dumb to be afraid; 200 apples, 200 peaches, l/4 acre asparagus, blackberries, greenhouses used to produce early girl tomatoes available early spring (we hope). Stepping into an established business run from home in a stone house with bee equipment and cider press (what's a cider press?) and can't wait to get on with it! We close in February and you will be hearing a LOT from me, folks!! Self-sufficiency, gardening and living close to the land (again after 20 years) are my interests.
