I am full time a beef cow/calf rancher on a 600 acre hill farm. Operating solo after being widowed in 2010. Running a 50 +/- cow herd. Have TOO many horses, a handful of goats, assorted poultry including peafowl. (A true challenge in the garden).Primary interest is in food gardening as well as herbs.Plans of building a new cottage has my 2012 focus on container gardening (portable)until construction (and heavy equipment use)is far enough along to build the raised beds I plan. My major 2012 canning/preserving plantings have returned to a plot along the creek.The battle with the peafowl begins.
