I am a resident in Truckee, Ca. I love to work in my "cottage garden" in the summer. I love to work in the garden, but I also love snow, which is good because we get a lot of it between October and April. Last year, I continued my slate path which winds around my blueberry tree, the focal point of my yard, past my small deck to the sauna area. There is a great slate deposit near my house, so thats nice for the pocket-book...(my neighbor lets me poach her stash). Recently Ive found that my property line is much further then Id originally thought, so...more beds are sure to come. My paths and beds have been expanded in the last couple of months (photos on my yahoo site). My husband bought me a wood chipper for my birthday a couple of years ago, so Ive been able to create lots of new bed areas for prep next year. I love to creep around the garden web. Moving rocks is fun. :) My favorite forums are Cottage Gardening and Soil, for some reason, the member page wont let me choose either selection.
