My garden is my sanctuary. It is where I meet God. I have been through many trials in my life and only 8 1/2 years ago did I find a spiritual understanding of life. When my hands are in the dirt I am home. I have learned to respect my gardens....both plant, rock & mineral. I always pray before entering. It is amazing how my life has changed. The peace is incredible. My favorite gardening book is "The Sanctuary Garden" surprise!!!! I am currently in the infant stages of developing a garden that is 100' x 100' x 100' x 60'. Yes... a huge task especially in our clay soil. A lot of time is spent amending. We have neighbors that love us because my son (12) and I haul all the manure we can get from their property!!!! They have some that has seasoned for years & years. My life is a blessing.
