During the past year, I've been tearing out Oleanders and Ice Plant from a 1/2 acre yard with slope and replanting with mostly native scrub sage chaparral. Huge do-it-yourself revegetation project but rewarding. Now that the basic foundation plants are in place, there is a current emphasis on choosing larval food plants for caterpillars/butterflies.
