Originally from the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. What is unique about that area is you can grown so many tropical plants outside year round. I now live in Palmdale, Ca which does not afford that opportunity since it's gets below freezing in the summer but has consistang high heat in the summer. I love tropical plants, trees and shrubs so I will return to an area where they can be grown more successfully than where I currently live. Luckily Musa Basjoo bananas grow here as well at some houses bird of paradise's, and I've seen bouganvillea on one wall which is amazing since it has been down in the teens. I have also seen some King Palms growing at one house which is cool. Am always open to receiving and sharing plants when I can. California has a climate that allows for the growth of just about every single plant, tree and shrub that grow all around the world.
