I am 27 y/o and intend to grow peppers until i am too old to move. I anticipate more land to plow, so i am interested in growing more pepper varieties. please advise me as to which is your favorite.

currently, my favorite is a chocolate bell pepper, just cause the color always gets a second look. they are fantastic. i plan to overwinter many plants with minimal resources. this could lead to pests, withering plants. i am always looking for novel solutions to problems that i have yet to encounter. please give advice as i still consider myself to be a novice in this game.
