grew up gardening with my dad. now that he's passed away, i'm on my own growing vegetables, and in NY i could really use his advice sometimes. growing a roof garden this year, a few containers of tomatoes, carrots, leeks, herbs and greens. nothing fancy, i just love tomatoes. as an engineer of course i had to come up with some wacky homemade self-watering containers etc etc. with any luck, i'll be seeing an abundance of tomatoes this year. as long as i can keep the squirrels away that is...
