I am new to gardening, I love roses (deep red are my favourite). I am trying to grow roses for the first time and having a variety of success. One corner of my garden kills every rose I put in it!

I have just converted a dirty great big hole (left by removal of Cycad to a much better home) into a lovely garden with magnolias, 'Red Riding Hood' bushes and dwarf mondo grass (please don't laugh - I did say I was new to this game!)

Previous experience....
Short green = grass
Tall green = tree
Coloured things = flowers
Medium green (with or without colour) = shrub
