I am a retired elementary school teacher who now has lots of time to devote to my gardens. My husband and I moved to the Sierra foothills of California on 25 acres including an old persimmon orchard. I love perennials, especially mediterranean zone plants. Salvias and perennial sunflowers are particular favorites.
