I'm growing veggies and fruit in urban Honolulu/Makiki, aspiring to acreage one day. Want to get to the point of consuming only locally produced food as one day we may have to. Meantime, we need to help our farmers survive and grow by buying as much as possible from them and speaking out against development of agricultural lands, getting Monsanto and other GMO producers out-of-town so they don't contaminate our crops, speaking out to actively conserve our water supply (again, limit development), and so much more. As for words about myself... guess I'm a little activist minded. We gotta be.
