Used to live in Leesburg, VA about 35 miles Northwest of D.C. and now Im about 35 miles Southwest of D.C. near Independent Hill, VA. Grow a mix of heirloom and hybrids, mainly tomatoes, sweet peppers, cucumbers, summer & winter squash, and lettuce. 2007/2008 winter was the 1st I tried saving tomato seeds and it worked! Made the mistake of doing an internet search for "heirloom tomato" about 10 years ago and now my family thinks Im crazy.
