My yard is always a work in progress trying to figure out what will survive our weather. It's a regular suburban size lot filled with hard to dig clay and 5 large Oak trees. I need to add more xeriscape plants since our summers are hot, hot, hot and we're usually in a drought. I'm working on adding a few more daylilies, dianthus, grasses,and Old Garden Roses. I like to grow plants that will attract beneficial insects, butterflies and hummers. Favorite thing to do while having my morning coffee is to watch the birds at the feeders.
