What do I like about my houseplants?
I like that when I get up in the morning, I am needed.
I enjoy associating with beings that are honest and truthful and forgiving, and always do their best.
I am grateful that I can help things grow, or at least cheer while they do it. It is a thrill to me when I see the first incredibly tiny leafstalk coming out of the soil of a leaf-cutting. I am encouraged in some deep visceral way by the incredible 'will' to live and grow and propogate that these green things have.
I am fed in my soul by babies and other growing things
