Updated 4-28-08. I have 5 acres north of Montgomery, AL, and about 1/2 of it is still natural - OVERGROWN. I plan to keep it natural, but I have done a little bit of clearing - and it looks much better. Still more to do...always! :) I love my plants - my greenhouse and my yard are like my own form of free therapy - well, KIND OF FREE, anyway. A lot of what I do is trial and error, although I did inherit my mamas green thumb, for the most part. I am interested in doing what i can for the environment. I compost, and I do recycle as much as I can. I have started using & selling Arbonne Skincare products - b/c they are 100% botanical and made with essential oils rather than mineral oil. I am not a fanatic about it, however, and still use pesticides etc as needed, although i have found that composting and attracting beneficial insects helps alot. I havent found a cure for the need for Roundup though, not with my Bermuda & Crabgrass trying to creep into the beds!
