I LOVE growing roses! I started three years ago with seven plants and each year I have added another seven. I have mostly hybrid teas, a few Austins, and I'm trying a couple climbers this year. Last year I started entering them in some local rose shows, and even won a trophy for best shrub rose in the novice division! Exhibiting is not my priority however. My roses are primarily for cutting and bringing into the house and sharing with co-workers and friends and family. Looking good in our yard is important too, and I do enjoy fragrant roses a lot but I don't like roses that are too disease-prone. My favorite roses are pinks and pink blends.
