I live in Northern California. I have been gardening for about 20 years and find it the most relaxing form of exercise. I enjoy working and living close to nature and am lucky that where I live I have both. I try to grow plants that both I love and wildlife enjoys too. Our present garden is in it's early stages and so far I have gone from only a few birds a year ago to hundreds that visit our property each and every day. I also have had to learn how to work with clay soil for the first time in my life and very hot and dry summer weather. All of the challenges are learning experiences which I have found never end with gardening as a hobby.

Roses are probably my favorite flower, although crape myrtles are running a very close second these days. I enjoy starting my plants from seed and other means of propagation and experimenting with new plants each season. I guess you could call me a plant junky. I see a nursery and I have to stop to shop and never seem to leave there without at least one new plant.

I also enjoy your website and reading what other people have to say and their experiences. I find I can learn more from others than most of the books I have, which are many I might add. Your forums are very interesting and have helped me in so many ways already and I want to thank you for that.

I will enjoy my future visit I am sure.
