I have a degree in floriculture. I've planted gardens in CT, NY, FL, and eastern and western MA. This let me experience first hand what it is like trying to grow in sand, clay and river loam. Of course river loam is the best but sand and clay present interesting challenges. I don't spray my plants except on rare occasions so most of what I grow is easy to care for.
