Been @ my house since Nov 2002, just getting going w/ gardening- trying to establish lots of perennials, shrubs, & long-term plants to add character to the house. Slightly less than 1 acre plot. lots of sun in back (faces South). North facing front yard & porch that I want to beautify. ZERO plants in front yard right now. I am raising about a zillion plants from seed this year, including delphinium, hollyhock, cosmos, forget-me-nots, impatiens, sweet williams, zinnias, alyssum, lobelia, petunia, cilantro, basil, parsley, and more! this is a BIG experiment. Looking forward to tips & advice from more experienced gardeners.
