I am mainly a vegetable and herb gardener (with some fruit trees), but I am starting to branch out into ornamentals (esp. antique roses, clematis, peonies,lilacs, and native plants). To me, gardening is not just a connection with the earth, but also with the past. I fall hard for heirlooms and natives.
