Renovating 1 acre property in NW burbs/Chgo. Biggest accomplishment is removing diseased and or dying and sucker growth from old oaks area and generally getting weeds and debris under control. Shade gardening will become my new favorite forum along with water gardening as a small raised bed pond with waterfall in in the works for this season (hole dug last fall). Always keep an eagle eye out for good shade plant combo's, drought tolerant plantings and large scale designing.
